Work experience

Viktoria, a native English speaker from Canada, first moved to Prague and began teaching in 2016. During her undergraduate studies, Viktoria completed a semester abroad at Charles University in Prague. After graduating with a BA degree in English from her hometown, she decided to return to Prague to complete a certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. She spent the next few years living in Prague and working at a language school as well as teaching privately. Wanting to fulfill her desire to see more of the world, Viktoria spent a year living and working in New Zealand. She spent some time travelling and decided to move to Germany, where she taught English for the next year. Her love of Prague drew her back and eventually she returned to pursue her career in primary education.

Viktoria has taught English to children, teenagers, and adults. She has experience teaching group and private lessons, both in-person and online, to people of different ages and cultures. Her wide array of experiences has allowed her to develop her skills as a teacher and realize that her true passion lies in teaching children.

She is inspired by the creativity and enthusiasm that children bring to class each day and she strives to encourage this within her classroom. Viktoria likes to create an atmosphere where her students can be themselves and feel comfortable experimenting with language through various activities including games, role plays, and other fun activities. Her goal is to promote confidence and creativity while encouraging critical thinking. She believes in living a healthy and active life, both mentally and physically, and she aspires to motivate her students to do the same.

In a world where you can be anything, be kind.
