About

Alicia is originally from a small town in British Columbia, Canada. She has been teaching children between the ages 3 to 17 for over 13 years. While in university, she studied Education, History and Music. In her first teaching job, she was working as a substitute teacher in elementary and secondary schools teaching in the Vancouver School District. She spent her summers working at a private international ESL school teaching English to elementary school children. She enjoys learning from people she meets around the world and different world cultures. Her love of adventure inspired her to leave Canada for a year of travel which turned into a life of living abroad!

Work experience

She worked on farms in Australia, taught in a private kindergarten in Sweden and eventually she moved to Prague in 2013. Since then, she has been happily living here and teaching in two international private schools as an elementary school teacher. She really loves working with the younger primary aged children and is really excited to be able to continue her passion for teaching here at Compass. Her goal is to be a positive and kind force and role model for children and to create a fun, active and engaging classroom where children want to be.

Be the change you wish to see in the world.
