Our students are independent, confident, good team members, able to discuss their opinions and give reasons for them. Our aim is to prepare our students for the transition to senior schools. Our transition programme includes:
- SCIO after-school club from Class 4 for those who wish to continue to academically selective schools, such as the Czech ‘gymnázium’
- accelerated learning and revision programme in Class 5 incorporating practice entry tests;
- extended parent consultations with the class teacher about a student’s options based on our knowledge of the student and detailed national test requirements;
- information for parents about other entrance examinations;
- fostering links with many senior schools to identify appropriate options so that we can help students and parents make an informed choice.
